Valerie Zimbal has over 26 years of intimate experience in the mink industry. Her expert knowledge of and passion for mink is practically in her DNA, as she is a 4th generation family member of Zimbal Minkery. As a young girl, she learned that dedication and endless hours went into the utmost care of these stunning, award-winning animals. She was captivated by the business which was cemented in an impenetrable family bond.
Leaving Wisconsin, Valerie pursued a range of creative outlets from painting to acting, ultimately finding her home in fashion design. Her journey of formal education apart from the business instilled an even deeper appreciation for the beauty and luxury of mink. After graduating with honors from The Illinois Institute of Art, Chicago in 2007 she continued her studies with several invaluable field experiences in Italy, London, and New York. She made the decision to create her own line in New York, and later returned to her Midwestern roots in Wisconsin to expand her line.
By doing so, she is able to work one-on-one with clients, ensuring that they walk away with one of the most amazing mink garments in the world. She also creates accessories including blaze orange mink hunting hats, home décor, and beautifully mink-trimmed silk flowers for special occasions.
